Perfect size, load capacity and tire weight

No other tire maker offers a 34 X 10.50 X R17LT (except BFG for 150% more money). I have run these now for six months on 8.5"-wide Method 705 wheels. These measure 33.5". I share the opinion of others more knowledgeable than I that a narrower tire is better for everything except sheer grip on pavement. A narrower tire is lighter for it's selected diameter and load range, does not push as much loose soil or sand out in front of it and when airing down for this kind of off-highway travel a tire's contact patch grows more in length, anyway. 

If you're thinking of a change to a sub-11" tire width, these are the tires to have. I'd sure like to see more people running them so we can remain hopeful that Toyo will continue to offer them. For a full-size 1/2 ton truck, SUV or Jeep, these are the ticket. Don't hang 75+lb tires on your 1/2 ton! (if it's a 3/4 ton, have at it) Meanwhile, these are just about the perfect do-it-all tire for pavement transportation then off-highway travel through the high deserts of the western states which is where our experience lies.
